Search by formatting only works in Compose window

Hi,
I usually write with both the regular scrivener window, and the Compose window, and switch between the two by swiping screens back and forth. (the preference “compose opens in its own space” is checked)

When I “search by formatting” in the scrivener window, it switches to the compose window and searches there.

Other thing: switching themes when the Compose window is open in its own space is extremely slow (scrivener freezes, beach ball for ~20-30 seconds)

Apart from that, I love the new themes and dark mode!!

Thanks, I’ve fixed the find-by-formatting issue for the next update. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s anything I can do about the speed of the themes reload in this instance - it must be down to Spaces. All I do is invoke a change on all of the preferences. I will do some more testing with it, though.

All the best,
Keith

Hi Keith,
Thanks. I wanted to point out another bug:

When the compose window “in its own space” is open, searching with “search in project” systematically closes it.

So I always have to open it again and go back to the document I was editing.

Hi David,

I’ve fixed this for the next update.

All the best,
Keith

great, thanks!

another small bug related to “compose window on its own space”:

when it is open, it is no longer possible to change the value of “use label color in -> outliner rows” menu item

nor can one “compile” when the compose window is open

Fixed for the next update.

Hi Keith,
In December I pointed out a bug:

When the compose window “in its own space” is open, searching with “search in project” systematically closes it.

It still happens, even though it was supposed to be fixed in the next update. I have 3.1.3 (11945)

Thanks!
David
