I’ve been using Scrivener since 07 and I can’t believe I’ve never asked or suggested this. I try to use custom metadata to keep track of my characters as they pop up through the MS. But often I miss some.
Before I had this many books, I used to take the time to have my computer read my book to me and list all important keyword in a spreadsheet but that’s very time-consuming. I was thinking if there was a way to search for Names of either locations or people, it would be very helpful. Tertiary characters and place names get mislaid and don’t make it to my character list. (You know by this that I’m a panther, a discovery writer.)
Would this be possible? If not, what do other Scrivener users do other than read through the entire novel for Proper names? Outline writers probably have less of a problem.
