In the book I’m writing I use many foreign names, often having special characters, like Bérenger Saunière and Rennes-le-Château. But Scrivener’s Search facility requires using the same punctuation marks when searching for these words, which tends to get complicated.
It would be immensely more helpful to exclude special characters when searching for such words, if that can be considered in future versions, just using the base letters themselves.
