seeing pdf bookmarks in scrivener

Is there a way to see the bookmarks that already exist in a pdf document that one has imported (as research) in the scrivener editor window?

I am trying this out as software for writing research grants and performing grant reviews and I must say that so far I love it. I may have some additional applications for use of Scrivener in scientific research to handoff to you.

Thanks for this software (I think we will b buying)

Hi,

Thanks for the kind words, glad you like Scrivener so far. Scrivener uses Apple’s PDFKit for displaying PDF files, so it should be capable of displaying anything that Preview can. What happens if you open one of these PDF files in Preview? Do they appear fine there?

Thanks and all the best,
Keith

Keith, yes, though I usually use adobe for pdfs, I opened a couple of them in preview, and the bookmarks appear in a column on the right, and appear to work in preview.

I just cannot figure out how to access the bookmarks from inside of scrivener. Any ideas?

Curious. I wonder if there’s something in the PDFKit I need to activate. Could you please send me an example PDF file to support AT literatureandlatte DOT com? I’ll take a look at it once New Year is over.

Thanks and all the best,
Keith
