Please help.
I think it’s just pointing to the wrong place, but I don’t know where to find my blank templates. I re-installed Scrivener and there was no change.
Hi.
In the folder that will open will be a sub-folder named “ProjectTemplates”.
Double click it and confirm your template is in there.
Click at the end of the URL (it should auto select the whole string) and copy it.
Then, in Scrivener, go to File / New project
Paste the URL you previously copied to the clipboard in the navigation bar, hit return, double-click your template.
Click yes when asked if you want to overwrite the pre-existing version of the template.
If after that it still doesn’t work, that most likely means that your template previously got overwritten with what you’ve been getting all along.
Either find a backup version of the project it originated from and save it as a template anew, or save-as (make a copy!) a project that was earlier spawn from the desired template, ditch everything that shouldn’t be in the template and finally save that as a template anew.
That, or start again from scratch. Rebuild your template.
(There is a possibility that this will just be a useless loop. I don’t know. But it can’t hurt to try. Perhaps clone the template elsewhere first, if you are insecure. That will prevent unforeseen damage (or rather give you the means to fix it) and therefor allow you to further I don’t know what, should it fail.)
At least from here on you’ll know where the custom templates are.
