serial number on my order?

I’m trying to install my Scrivener 2.0 on a second Mac computer. I was directed to get the trial version (can’t remember how or when–maybe on the forum?). I now want to register this trial version using my serial number. I have tried using my SKU… number but it doesn’t work. Is there something simple I’m missing?

David

(PS I have made two purchases, one for 1.0 several years ago, and then the upgrade to 2.0. I’m assuming I use the SKU … from the 2.0.)

Hi David,

When you purchased your upgrade, you should have received an email containing your “serial number name” and “serial number”. The serial number is not the same as the SKU number, which is some sort of internal code identifying the product type. Instead, you need to use the long sequence of letters and digits with individual blocks separated by hyphens (it probably begins with “SCRVNR”, or similar). If you can’t find this, send us (in technical support) an email and let us know your name and the email address you used when purchasing your upgrade, and we can look it up for you.

All the best,
Astrid

Thanks Astrid. I did e-mail tech support about a week ago and they sent me a note with only the order number and the SKU on it as a copy of my original order. I then emailed a second time last wk: no reply. Any advice?

Best,

David

Hi David,

I’m sorry you haven’t heard back. We do reply to all emails (our aim is to do so within a couple of days of receipt), so it’s possible that your second message ended up in the spam filter, or got lost in the ether somewhere – or perhaps our reply to it has suffered a similar fate and ended up in your spam filter.

Just email us again, asking for your licence details and giving us your name and email address (or order number STxxxxxxxx, if you have it). I’ll give you the sales and fulfilment address, as it’s an after-sales licensing enquiry: sales AT literatureandlatte DOT com

All the best,
Astrid
