Shortcut to move lines of text up and down?

Word has two very handy shortcuts (Alt-Shift Up Arrow and Alt-Shift Down Arrow) which allow you to quickly slide paragraphs of text up and down without having to cut and paste. A real time-saver.

In Scrivener, these two shortcuts are used to navigate through the binder. Does anyone know if another shortcut exists to move text the way I describe in the Windows version? I can’t find anything in the manual. And if not, what’s the best way to request such a feature?

I don’t believe there is such a capability in Scrivener. You can request it through the “Wish List” forum.

You could probably create an AutoHotKey macro to accomplish it. Autohotkey is an incredibly useful tool for Scrivener users. The macro to do what you’re requesting would be mildly involved. I might be able to work something up, let me know if you’re interested.

That’s very kind of you --thank you! It’s really a very handy function.
