Instead of having just Append Selection to Document, we writers deserve to have Move Selection to (another) Document, too. I’ve found myself after using Scrivener less than one week that I have to come back and delete the Selection every time. And that’s a very very boring task.
However, I’ve never regret I spent 50 bucks for this greatest program for writers. It really rocks!! Thx for doing best thing for digital-era writers.
I’m trying to think of a preference that would cause your editor focus to shift to the item you’ve appended text to, and I’m coming up blank. For myself, whenever I select something and use the right-click or Edit menu to append the selected text to another document, nothing changes in the editor. I’m still in the same document. Therefore “moving” the text is as simple as hitting backspace. Is that not what you are getting?
Yes! it’s what I’ve wanted! But I miss a point. I practically “drag selection” to another folder also. The selection will be a new document. But the source remains the same. I have to go back and delete it. Auto-delete function is what I actually want. Thanx!
