Old Framemaker had a great preference. It could ignore all space bar taps after the first one. So you’d do what I’m dong (two spaces after periods) but always get one space. Very nice feature and avoids the need to get physical therapy to rewire the brain.
Would love to have it in Scrivner.
Using the “Convert multiple spaces to single space” option in the Transformations pane of compile will strip out the extra spaces for you. You can also use Format > Options > Convert Multiple Spaces to Single Space to delete the additional spaces from the original text (rather than just in the compiled output), loading multiple documents in a Scrivenings session before performing this action.
