The first of my chapters had smart quotes and smart apostrophes. My later chapters did not. I converted them all to RTF and then started importing them to Scrivener. The smart apostrophes were lost from the RTF imports. I tested out my later chapters (with standard apostrophes) and they worked fine.
I also notice that em dashes are also lost (not just en dashes, as reported in another post).
