First of all, just want to thank the team for porting Scrivener to Windows. It looks very good and is a great addition to the toolboxes of writers everywhere.
A few comments:
Would it be possible for the tooltips to show the hotkey associated with a given function, in addition to its name? It’s much easier/faster to learn them this way.
The Options window is a bit awkward with the backward/forward arrows at the top to navigate between tabs. Perhaps easier just to make the window resizable?
More and underlined hotkeys in the menu options would be really helpful.
The ability to customize the toolbar would be really neat too.
I’d love to second this, and I was hoping you could also add a little “Apply” button at the bottom to temporarily apply settings as you comb through the rest of the options. It also feels a little weird to close the window and have it save settings without an “OK” button to confirm. This is probably another Windows vs. Mac thing that’s a bit weird to adjust to
It will actually apply settings as you click or change them. You can watch stuff changing as you make adjustments, if they impact the application visually. You might be right about that being a Mac thing though. That’s been the trend—idea being that instant verification of a preference visually does away with the need to go through an Apply cycle to see if they do what you want. Cancel is then just a matter of undoing what you just did.
