Running Scrivener with the latest exe on WinXP. Sometimes it starts up fine, and sometimes I get errors such as these:
An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Scrivener.exe [3900].
An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Scrivener.exe [4088].
An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Scrivener.exe [3952].
An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Scrivener.exe [1020].
An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Scrivener.exe [812].
By any chance do you have Visual Studio installed on this machine?
I have windows XP, SP3 and I have not been able to use Scrivener at all yet. It will start up, but every time I try to create a new project, it crashes and I get those unhandled win32 exception errors. I do not have Visual Studio installed on this laptop now, but it was installed in the past. Is there something left behind by Visual Studio that is causing Scrivener to not work for me? I would love to get this figured out so I can use the program.
