Space between documents in compile.

I’m wondering if I can improve my management of white space between scenes during compile.

I’ve compiled my short story using the " * " separator between scenes (ie documents). But I’d like to have a little more breathing room - more lines of white space either side of the *. Is there a way of doing this automatically?

A related issue is that I frequently find I’ve left too much white space at the bottom of a document, which of course translates into too much and/or varying degrees of white space between scenes in the compiled story. Again, any way of automating control of this?

There’s no way of removing whitespace from the end, no, because there’s no way for Scrivener to know if it’s intentional space or not. But you can add extra lines in the custom separator field by holding the Option key down as you hit return.

Fantastic! Thanks a million.
