Speech bug with SampleTTS voice?

If I have a document that has some text in it, under “Edit,” then “Speech,” “Start speaking,” if it’s set to SampleTTSvoice, it’ll just say “blah blah blah blah.” The other voices work just fine.

N.B. I don’t actually use text-to-speech, so I’m not sure what the default behaviour is–I needed the speech sdk installed to get Scrivener working, so was screwing around with it, now that 2.9 makes noises while 1.9.7 never did.

Hello! After poking around for a bit it looks like that is an issue with the Sample TTS itself, rather than its interaction with Scrivener. Admittedly I don’t know much about it specifically, but it looks like the Sample TTS has a specific (and limited) dictionary of known words and replaces all others with “blah”.
