This is a really trivial question: is it possible to spellcheck just selected text? At the moment, it seems to run through an entire section, but in Word I was able to highlight a single word and get an instant spellcheck on it, which was very convenient - I used it all the time. I’m on version 1.0.2.

You can either use options and let Scrivener spell check as you type or select a word, right mouse and select spelling from the menu/ use the hotkey.
Select “Check spelling as you type” under Tools > Options > Corrections.
Then Scrivener underlines every error in red and you can right-click on every red underlined word and choose one of the suggestions the spell checker offers.
