Since upgrading to Lion, every time I open Scrivener after not using it for a while, I get the spinning beach ball for 5 or 10 seconds before it’s usable.
I’ve searched, but didn’t see this exact problem listed in the forums. Anyone else having this?
Not in my case. But is Scrivener re-opening an existing project? And if so, how big is it? If not, have you tried re-installing?

Not in my case either, but what’s your hardware set-up, and which version of Scrivener are you using?

Did you purchase from Apple? I wonder if perhaps their receipt mechanism is doing a web check after a period of inactivity?
