Split Scenes

Hello

I’ve gone through and split each of my chapters into multiple scenes. Example: Chapter One has Scene 1, Scene 2 and Scene 3, Chapter Two has Scene 4, Scene 5, Scene 6 and 7… and so on and so on

Now I would like to put the chapters back together, so that Chapter One will have Scene 1, 2, & 3 all mashed into one text field.

Is there a way to undo all of those splits? I do not wish to compile the manuscript, because I don’t want to export it out of Scrivener.

Hopefully that makes sense…

Thanks in advance,
Stella!

Why not just select the chapter folder in the Binder and hit “Edit Scrivenings”?

I do think there’s a joining function, but I [edit: don’t] remember exactly. Merge, maybe?

Do you really want to “merge” the documents into a single document, or just view them as a single entity?

ooo! Merge! I’ll investigate that!

I would like to still have the manuscript broken into chapters, but I would not like the chapters to be broken into Scenes anymore.

Thanks thanks!
Stella!

You guys rock the house! Merge worked! High Fives all around!

Yay, thanks!

…i knew it had to be something simple!

It’s pretty hard to think of things that KB hasn’t already thought of and then gone a head and done. And if he hasn’t done it there is probably a very good reason for it.

I wonder if we could get him to design those silly automated phone systems that banks use? Imagine –

The pone rings. One. Two. A pleasant, mac like boing reassures you that you have reached the right place. A calming voice says:

It could happen…

LOL~ fun-tastic! S!

According to an Associated Press article (published today in The Age newspaper) it’s on the way…
