Statistics will formulate size of largest document, in char; but HOW do I find it in project?

I use scrivener also for research. Recently using statistics I came across a project with some 1.220 documents, with an awerage of 2.435 words. However I was also advised that largest document contained 41.254 words !!!

I consider this as some error/leftovers… but how do I find/locate this document?

You can search the project for * with the Any Word operator, limited to Text, then click the arrow button to load the results in the editor and view it in the Outliner. Enable the View ▸ Outliner Options ▸ Word Count column and then click in that column’s header to sort by the word count.

Once you’ve found the document in the outliner, Navigate ▸ Reveal in Binder to locate it in the project structure.

  1. In you project, click on the Draft/Manuscript folder.
  2. Switch to Outliner mode, using the right icon of the group of 3 icons.
  3. If Total Word Count is not part of your Outliner display, add it by clicking on the right facing arrow at the right edge of the title row, and select it from the dropdown that appears.
  4. Clicking on the title of the column (Total Words) will first sort from lowest to hightest word count, a second time from hightest to lowest, where you’ll find the wordy document at the top of the list.
  5. Right click on the document and select Reveal in Binder, which will highlight the document in your Binder.
  6. Before continuing you may wish to click on the Total Words column a third time to reset your Outliner’s sort order.
  7. Then, click on the Scrivenings View icon (the left most of the group of three) to get back to your editor, where the wordy document you found in the Binder now has focus in the editor.
