Strange quote marks

Hi, I recently changed my operating language to German, but adjusted the Scrivener language to English. Still, when I type double quotes now, it makes them look really bizarre (to the English reader). How can I fix this?

Example:

Smart quote style is an operating system level adjustment. You can get to the right place by clicking the button at the bottom of Scrivener’s Corrections preference pane.
