For some reason I can not get Manuscript and Session Targets to display at the bottom of the screen. Instead, I only see word and character totals for the document I’m in. Is this by design, an oversight, or bug?
Sure I can get my info from the menu (project targets) or a few key strokes. However, it is more useful for me to see how many words I’m writing during a session at all times.
I would like to have more control of what displays at the bottom, even if it includes all data targets.
This is intended behaviour. Your Manuscript and Session Targets can be seen by hovering the mouse over the Quick Search Bar in the Taskbar at the top of the program. By default, it displays the name of the current document you are in. By mousing over it shows the Manuscript and Session Targets. And by clicking inside of it, you can do a quick project search.
I didn’t know - Very Cool! But I still would like more control of what and where info appears. For example, I write 1000 words per day and want to keep track of time since I started. I don’t want to think about playing peek-a-book with the mouse and distracting my thoughts.
I second this. It will be really helpful to have more control over the targets and where they appear.
It will also be good if we can see the Total Word Count for a folder. I know that we can see that in v3, when in outliner view, but it will be nice if we can see it in the binder or/and in the target area.
