Superscript directly above subscript?

Hi, I haven’t managed to figure out how to get both superscript and subscript at the same time, so that the superscript is directly above the subscript (see image). Wonder if any knows how to do this? I really appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks!

I very much doubt this is possible in Scrivener’s layout engine. What I do is use MMD in Scrivener, which then means you can trivially use \(R^{2}_{\beta}\) within text. \( \) are inline maths and \[ \] are display maths.

But MMD may not be compatible with your workflow…

Thanks for your reply. I’ll see if I can use MMD instead.

I’m quite a bit biased but MMD in Scrivener gives you a much more powerful styling output than ever the RTF files themselves can. To visualise your project you can compile to MMD, then use the excellent Marked or even open the SCRIV in marked directly at the same time (scriv and marked side-by-side):
