Superscripts and research

I am writing a non fiction book on Scrivener and need to be able to superscript my research in the text. What I mean is if I say for example “60% of men and women in the UK are overweight” I want to be able to keep the link to the research where I got that information from in RESEARCH then superscript the text it refers to and be able to link the two. Then when I compile the book it takes the research and superscripts with it, so my publisher knows where those facts came from.

I don’t know if that’s the right way to do it but if someone could kindly point me in the direction of how to do it correctly I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks very much.

I use Format > Inline Annotations (Cmd+shift+a) for that. Then change the File > Compile > All Options > Footnotes & Comments to make sure that the “Remove inline annotations” option is unselected.
