Syncing failure from iPad

For the past few days I have been unable to Sync with Dropbox from my iPad. The problem started when I was backing up a project from the iPad and the upload became stuck before it was completed, resulting in the appearance of a small x in the project icon. After 30 minutes I cancelled the sync and tried again. When that didn’t work I tried reconnecting the iPad to Dropbox a tactic which either brings a message that the Dropbox connection has failed, or the files download and start to backup and again become stuck before the backup finishes

I have continued to work on my Mac with out a syncing problem.

I’m considered erasing the iPad app and reinstalling it.
