Syncing with Adobe Creative Cloud

Hey Scriveners,

Have you guys had any experience with using Creative Cloud to sync your projects between devices INSTEAD of dropbox? I’m considering attempting it, but I thought I would ask my resourceful fellow writers before I give it a go. If you have done so, how was the experience?

What kind of devices?

I work between an iMac, iPhone, and PC. Dropbox works between all three, and I want to know if Creative Cloud functions just as easily.

Only Dropbox works with your iPhone, if you want to use normal sync.

Have you looked into Resilio Sync Home/Individual version? It’s P2P, so there’s no outside server. You specify a shared sync folder, and it automagically keeps it synced between your devices. It doesn’t sync from within Scrivener, but as you make changes on one device, it syncs with the other devices in the background.

It’s freemium, but most writers don’t need the paid features.

How does it get projects into Scrivener on iDevices?

Many cloud sync services do not work well with “packages” and can corrupt Scriv projects. This is the fundamental reason Dropbox is the sync solution L&L uses for sync to ios devices. But the same concern matters when syncing between two computers. So, this is definitely something you need to check into when considering any cloud sync solution for active (non-zipped) Scrivener projects.

I have no idea how Adobe CC fares in this regard.
