synonym dictionnary

Hi,
I work a lot with word 2007 (Windows) and its dictionary of synonyms integrated (right click or Maj+F7).
Is there a plugin which returns the same service in the editor of Scrivener or is there an equivalent function somewhere ?
Thanks a lot for answering.
Jules

A similar question was recently asked by someone else in this thread. The answer, I’m afraid, is that all the writing tools in Scrivener, such as Thesaurus, are links to online resources, not integrated within the program. I’m not aware of a plugin for it either. Hélas. Perhaps this will change when v. 3 for Windows is released next year, but I know nothing about that.

You might want to look into the free WordWeb, which will work with all of your programs:

wordweb.info/free/

I second WordWeb. One keystroke in any of your programs and up pops the thesaurus. Of course, you have to lie about how many airline miles you travel every year to get it for free, but I’ve somehow managed to avoid feeling guilty about that.

Thanks a mot for reply.
I’ve downloaded and install wordweb. Excellent but full english.
My search was a FRENCH synonym dictionnary.
Perhaps the wordweb pro version can have add-on dictionnaries and language word lists.
do you think it can answer to my research ?
as for the functionnalities, wordweb and its shortcuts and pop-up is very good.
Thanks for response.

Well, you didn’t mention the French part in your original post. That would’ve been helpful information.

According to the WordWeb website, there is currently no French version.

Anyway, thanks for reply.
However, I ask if the “pro” version of wordweb has not a external word list in French. But is this an equivalent of synonym dictionary ?
Thanks a lot for replies.
