To enhance readability, I suggest making the Synopsis block “zoomable” like the Notes block when in Outline mode. Both the Notes and the Title and Synopsis blocks can be zoomed in and out. However, the Synopsis block can not be zoomed.
I love the Outline mode and and always start there when creating the arc of a story. The layout is perfect and is very configurable, hands down the best outliner I have found. The only issue is, I can’t increase the zoom level for the Synopsis block to make it easier to read.
First, I assume you’re referring to the fact that the text in the Inspector Notes pane zooms with cmd-> —correct me if I’m wrong! As far as I know, the Synopsis text will not zoom—not in the Inspector, nor Index Cards on the Corkboard, nor in Outline view.
It’s a worthy thing for the Wish List! But unless and until this change is made, you can still control the size and font of the outliner Synopsis text from Preferences.
Choose Scrivener->Preferences, and click on the Appearances pane. Then click on the Outliner in the left-hand list. Click on Fonts in the right hand pane. Now you can choose what you find readable for the Synopsis text. Hope this helps!
