Table of contents query

Hi,

I’ve compiled my book and table contents. However, I’ve noticed that Scrivener is inserting some of the files as sub-sections in my table of contents. When I open the TOC in my Kindle, there’s an arrow next to the Table of Contents item. When I expand this arrow, I can see the files or sub-sections.

It’s only doing this for some files. How do I prevent it from doing this? I just want Scrivener to put the chapter titles in my TOC.

Thanks

The automatic ToC generator uses page breaks to decide where “new” sections begin. So, to eliminate the ToC entries, eliminate the page breaks before those items.

Alternatively, you can generate your own ToC manually, using the process described in Chapter 23 of the Scrivener manual.

Thank you
