Targets in Full Screen Mode

I know the FS mode is supposed to be minimalistic, and I really love that, and the general look of it/arrangement of the interface. But I’d also really like to be able to view my targets - especially my session target, though my project/document targets too would be great - while in FS mode. I use my session target a lot - I have ADD, and not taking a break until I meet the set target is one of the ways I keep myself on task and focused. That gets kind of broken, though, when I have to swap back and forth to see how I’m going.

I know I can pare down the main interface to bare bones, but I much prefer the feel of FS mode, and the fact that there’s another step between me and changing windows is also good for staying on track.

Thanks for the consideration

No problem: Press, while in fullscreen mode, CMD-SHIFT-T. That should bring up the fly-over-window with Project Target and Session Target. Adjust your fullscreen mode so that you have a place to put this window, and there you go.

Alas, doesn’t seem to work in windows, and the usual ctrl+, to bring it up out of FS mode also doesn’t seem to work while in FS. Ah well. At least if it’s in the Mac version I know it will be coming to Windows eventually.

And if you call up the status window before switching to fullscreen mode? (Just curious.)

It gets hidden by the FS interface. I can see it if I make the background transparent, but not if I black it out to remove the distraction.

That window really should be floating over the backdrop for precisely that purpose. I know we have the ability to do that since the floating inspector and keyword panel work, though maybe there is a problem with conveying these floating windows between modes. I do note that the keyword panel doesn’t make the trip to full screen, you have to open it again, and when you quit full screen it goes away. Really, these two windows should be persistent, but there might be a technology problem there.

Until this is implemented, you can call up the targets window first and shifting it to one side or the other of the screen, then enter full screen mode and fade the background so you can see through to the open windows on the desktop. (The slider is on the right of the control panel when you mouse to the bottom of the screen in FS.) You can shift the page to either side of the screen in FS too.
