TEMPLATE FORMAT VISIBLE ONLY WHEN COMPILED?

Hello, I have copy/pasted text from Pages into a short story template, but it only converts to that format once compiled. Is there a way to have the conversion happen before compile so that I am doing corrections within the short story format as it will appear.

You won’t find a really good way of doing that, as it goes against the design concept of Scrivener: write in whatever format is comfortable for you, then export how you need the formatting to be. The main alternative to that way of working is to switch off format override, along the top of the Formatting compile pane, and then write in a slightly more WYSIWYG fashion in the text editor. That approach is there for those who, like yourself, prefer to write in the end format rather than in some custom font or whatever.
