Text editing. Select Sentence

MS Word allows selecting a sentence using command + click. Would speed editing if we could select a sentence in Scrivener.

Seems it isn’t possible:

Nisus have managed to program it in NWP — which is also based on the Apple Text Engine — double click for a word, triple click for a sentence, quadruple click for a paragraph; but then they have a whole team dedicated to the task of modifying the text engine to make NWP a fully-featured word-processor.

Thanks for responses. I ve used Word forever and I’m new to Scrivener which I really like but do miss that feature c

In recent versions of OS X, Apple has introduced a new API (NSLinguisticTagger) that I think should be able to determine sentence limiters. Funnily enough, when you mentioned this, I was thinking that Mark’s description of the Nisus way of doing it would be a good approach, although I’m not sure about how to override the double-click behaviour of NSTextView in a safe way for selection - I will look at it, though.

Would something like that be configurable as an action with a Force Touch trackpad? Or tree barking wrong the up?
