Text layout question

I chose Novel Format and dived in. Now in the Binder I have a Title Page, then Chapter 1 appears as a folder with the text of my chapter inside it. But the following chapters appear not as folders but as text icons. In Chapters 1 and 2 new paragraphs are indented, but from Chapter 3 onwards there in no indentation. I don’t know why this is but I wonder if I may have changed something inadvertently when I went to Preferences to make the text larger. After checking Preferences, I don’t see anything obvious.

Maybe none of this really matters, but I want both the Binder and text layouts to be regular. Is there an easy fix, or is there a way I can start afresh and import each chapter so that the Binder is uniform and the text documents are all uniform? So far I only have four chapters written, so the latter shouldn’t be a big deal.

If you haven’t played with the default text settings too much and just copied text in, there is a convert to default formatting menu option.

Also, you can easily convert between text documents and folders using edit->convert to folder. They are essentially the same thing. Run through the tutorial or help files for more info - they are both good.

In general, the best way to get each chapter thesame is to start each chapter by duplicating the first chapter (in the edit menu,I think). Then just delete all the text, change the title and start again. Uusually set up an empty chapter outside the draft folder, just for this purpose.
