Yeah, but, it was launched on April 1st, wannit?
Thereâs that difference of opinion again. None of the âissuesâ you described are problems for me. Travel is just right, click movement is fine and I donât need recesses to âorientâ my fingers - thatâs what the little ridges on the home keys (âfâ and âjâ) are for.
And I have tried Lenovo and was unimpressed at the time, but maybe theyâre better now. Itâs a moot point, however. I have a lot of software and hardware invested my Apple eco-system; it works, I like it, I know the operating system very well and have it tweaked to my liking, and it means I donât have to use Windows or learn Linux. In short, Iâm happy and have no intention of switching because someone else doesnât like my choice of keyboard.
And yes, I do use Windows as well. After over 20 years (I first started using Windows 2 on MS-DOS), I still donât like it. The only version I havenât tried is Win8, but I havenât read a good review yet.
Wouldnât work for me. If you read my post above, I need a small keyboard so I can use a mouse beside it on my keyboard tray. Besides, that monster isnât even bluetooth. This Logitech keyboard comes closer, but other than the backlit keys, I canât see any benefit over the keyboard I already have. That, and it uses a Windows layout, so all my muscle memory would be wasted. Creating new muscle memories doesnât make sense; as I said earlier, my current finger memory works on both my laptop and my external keyboard. Why would I change, especially since my keyboards already âtype properlyâ for me? If I really wanted to âtype properlyâ, Iâd return to using the 1930âs manual typewriter I first learned to type on. The keys on that thing had travel and real click!
I have at least three, maybe four, other keyboards in storage and so I choose to use the one I find best for me. Clearly your preferences are different. Thatâs good. Means weâre different people. This, in turn, means weâll write differently and so our writing will please different audiences. I hope you enjoy your excellent keyboards and allow me to enjoy my excellent keyboards and that we both find excellent audiences for the words we type on those keyboards.
All the best,
nom
Iâm with Nom. Not physically, you understand, though thatâs nothing personal, simply a matter of geographic location. However, vis Ă vis Apple MacBook Pro keyboards, weâre closer than a wombatâs gonads. 'Nuff said!
LANGUAGE!!.. LANGUAGE!! Fâ feck sake, you donât now whoâs reading this stuff! Jaysen could be reading it.
If Fluff was here, sheâd be saying something like, "Standards on board Scrivener, have plummeted, and bottomed out into the sewer! Where on earth are the moderators when you need them "
âcloser than a wombatâs gonadsâ. Ill have tâ remember that one!
