TOC only says "Part One", it doesn't include the Part Heading text

I re-named the part folders. In the pdf compile, it shows as

PART ONE
Section heading

Which is what I want.

My issue is with the table of contents, all it says it Part One without the section heading.

How do I add the section headings to the table of contents, please? thanks.

Assuming you used the Copy Documents as TOC approach, are Part One and Section Heading separate folders or documents you selected to create your TOC?

As you can see, it’s showing in the document but not in the compiled PDF

Have you defined a Part layout in Compile Format Designer?

  1. Have Skorts, Cargos and Capris been allocated the section type Part Heading?
  2. If not that, then check what section type your Part Number Page section layout is assigned to. It may not be assigned at all, which would be correct.

That’s the extent of my suggestions.

  1. yes
  2. I can’t find what you mean?

Part Number Page is above the layout Part Title Page in the extract you posted.

It’s also the area in compile where Section Layouts are assigned to Section Types.

Ah ok, thanks. Part Number Page is not assigned to any Section Types

I still need help with this, please

What do the part title pages look like in the compiled PDF?

Please have a look at the Document Title Links pane in the Compile Format editor:

  • From the main Compile screen, right-click on the name of the Format you’re using and choose the Edit (or Duplicate & Edit) option.
  • Look for Document Title Links in the list on the left-hand side.
  • Make sure the “Links use title prefixes only” option is not checked.

Does that help?
