Been using Scrivener 3 a lot recently on my MacBook with Touch Bar. I thought of a few Touch Bar objects that might be useful when writing in full screen mode. I’m not sure of the limitations of the Touch Bar, so some of these may not be possible with the current version of OS X.
Updating Word count
Target goals
Quick access to current binder contents
Ability to view/hide synopsis as a popup window
Just thought I would share a few things that I would love to see in a future version. Thanks again for all the hard work you have put into Scrivener.
Thanks for the feedback! There are some interesting ideas in here—but unfortunately with the way Full Screen works, I don’t think these will be feasible to add in. Mainly, I don’t think there is any difference between the text editor running in a window and the text editor when the window has been stretched to fill the screen and put on its own Space.
But I do also wonder, are you using a very limited Full Screen mode layout or something? Most of these tools remain available to you in the footer bar. The Binder is still off to the side (even if you auto-hide it, you just mouse over to the left—and that’s going to be a far better interface than a thousand elements in a scrollable Touch Bar). The synopsis similarly, only move the mouse to the right side to access the full inspector (or just hit ⌃⌥⌘I).
