There may be a way to do this, but I haven’t found it in the Windows version. I would like to have a record of the words I added to a project on a certain day or even during a session as long as date is tracked. Is there a way to capture this value when you close a project? I think it would help me with goal setting. (I know it’s tracked, because I use the project statistics popup, but then when you close the program, that value doesn’t stay anywhere that I know of)

Tracking word counts per day is planned for our next major version for both Windows and Mac - although I’m afraid it is unlikely to be ready for release until 2016 given how much work we have left on it. It is coming, though (and already implemented in the Mac codebase, with full specifications for implementation with the Windows team).
Heh, yes, you’re right - I eventually threw up my hands and spent a week coding it seeing as it was something that came up so often. (That doesn’t mean collaboration is going to happen any time this century. )
