Hi! I’m writing in with a new, but persistent problem that I cannot seem to resolve on my own despite my fervent googling efforts to locate proper answers. I’ve used Scrivener faithfully for the last four years - it’s been an invaluable program for organizing my graduate research and writing and editing my dissertation. I’ve also always used Dropbox to back up and keep save my documents. I recently had to purchase a new laptop when my old computer stopped being able to take a charge…although I was able to successfully download my most recent Scrivener file onto the new computer, I do not seem to be able to properly sync/back up this same project from my new laptop back into Dropbox. While I was always able to google this information previously (in order to reteach myself this process if something went wrong), no matter how many times or approaches I try to fix this issue, the problem persists. Files appear to load to Dropbox, but then they are not viable files when I try to access them through the Scrivener IOS app (and try to confirm that everything is backing up properly). Can someone direct me as to how I might fix this issue? I just want to ensure that my work is being properly saved and backed up on a regular basis as I furiously work to try and graduate this year. Thanks in advance. My sincerest apologies if I’m asking really dumb technical questions - all of the normal processes by which I’ve traditionally been able to set this up have not worked for me in the past week…
Syncing the live project so it can be opened in iOS Scrivener is something completely different from backup. So exactly what is it you are trying to do. It’s rather unclear.
