I work on OS X Yosemite. I found in PDF’s compilation that the options for the footnotes doesn’t work well : impossible to have continuity in numeration and the right place before page breaks.

We don’t have any control over this aspect of the software. Footnotes are optionally created when using the “Proofing” option in Print Settings, and the lack of control over these, among other scattered problems with that setting, is precisely why we call it “Proofing”. This result is provided by the Aspose conversion engine; we feed it an RTF, it hands a PDF back, and that’s the extent of our control over the matter. For final output, you’re almost always going to want to handle the layout in a program that is dedicated toward that purpose.
