After finishing my first book, of 90,000 words, I have to say that the overwhelming number of spelling/typo issues that had to be corrected after finishing the book were caused by auto correct.
It’s just my own personal experience, but what seemed like a nice idea turned out to be a very bad idea.
I have now turned it off.
