Tutorial: "Default Templates for Subdocuments" menu is grayed out

The tutorial has been flawless so far, but I’ve hit a glitch. I’m going through “Document Templates” trying to set the Characters folder to use the Character Sheet template by default.

When I select Documents->Default Template for Subdocuments, after setting Sheets to be the template folder, I get a grayed-out list of all the template in the Sheets folder. I’m unable to set the default template for the Characters folder. The Characters folder is highlighted in blue in the binder.

Did I do something wrong? Thanks!

And right after I posted that I noticed that there was no triangle next to the Characters “folder” – which was a document rather than a folder. I converted it to a folder and all is well.

Rather than delete this post, I’ll leave it here in case someone else has this problem.
