Hi,
I have a problem in a project since yesterday, after a reboot of my MacOs 10.14.6 machine with Scrivener 3.1.4.
Typewriter scrolling is turned off. When I hit the ENTER or BACKSPACE key, the editor acts as Typewriter scrolling was turned on. This does not happen in Full screen composition.
I tried “Close Project and Clear Interface Settings” (https://forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/the-current-line-im-editing-defaults-to-the-screen-centre/24365/1) and it fixed the problem, yesterday. Today it happens again.
Any ideas?
I do have an idea that jumps out to me. I’m not sure that it’d be any different to what you’ve already done, though. What you’ve done, as explained in the manual (emphasis added):
Does this mean it’ll reset an individual project’s settings or is it a global action? I do not know. There is an L&L knowledge base article that explains how to globally reset Scrivener’s preference file located here: scrivener.tenderapp.com/help/kb … references
Regardless of my uncertainty, after the usual backup routine and thoroughly reading the article, including following the"Preserve Your Settings" advice, I’d give it a try.
Thank you for your answer. I think Close Project and Clear Interface Settings is a project action.
Anyway, I’ll note the kb article. At the moment, I don’t need it because the problem solved by itself. It’s not happening anymore, without having reset the project preferences.
