Ultra Custom Scriptwriting feature wish

There is one type of scriptwriting paragraph style, the Parenthetical, that will insert automatically the left-parenthesis at the paragraph start, and the right-parenthesis at the paragraph end.

I wonder if it might be possible, and how much work it would be, to allow writers to customize these automatic insertions? That is: say I am writing HTML code with Scrivener, I could work in Scriptwriting Mode with a style that I could specify inserts

at the paragraph start, and

at the paragraph end.

This would open up all manner of additional customization, although very few of us would ever use them, so I can understand if the trouble of working the code seems to be not worth the added use.

I will say, somewhat cryptically, that we’ve got a really good solution for what you’re going for that is in the planning phases for the future. You’re right, this isn’t something a lot of people would find use for, but for those it will, I think, make Scrivener a very interesting and powerful platform for certain types of technical authoring.
