Unable to compile - please help

Hello,

I’m new to Scribener… So I’m hoping this is an easy question and a quick fix!

I’m trying to compile what I’ve written so far - a detailed outline with different levels. I have taken the time to update the section types. Initially I tried the whole-project method by going to “default types by structure” in Project settings, but since it did not work for me (for some reason levels were grouped inconsistently), I decided to do it manually.

Now, i’m trying to compile and the result is only one of the titles on one page – nothing else.

Can someone help me figure out what I’m doing wrong so that I can have a printed outline?

Thanks in advance!

The most common cause for that is an indenting issue, where you really only have this one thing in the Draft folder, and everything below it is not indented and thus on the same level as Draft, or outside of it. You should be able to see a problem like that very easily in the Contents list, on the right side of the compile overview though.

The other thing to check, while you are there, is that everything you want included has a checkmark beside it. Hint: you can hold down Option and click on any checkbox to toggle all other rows to on or off, depending on what you click on.

Thanks, Amber!

All those were ok… But I closed and opened the application again and it worked! I should have tried that first!
Thank you

Well that’s certainly strange! At least it is working now though. :tada:
