Using the latest version on Windows 10.
I import research files as shortcuts exactly as with OSX version 3.
The files are mp4 tutorial videos and it works perfectly in OSX, playing the videos inside Scrivener.
This version, on clicking the appropriate link does nothing except to show the in-app player complete with controls, but no video.
The links are good because if there is no video attached an error correctly indicates this.
The videos do play is external editor is selected as destination.
Naturally I don’t know if this has yet to be incorporated, but at this stage of ‘bug hunting’ I would assume it should work.
