Undo of deletions restores one char at a time

If I

  1. delete a word or section of text by backing over it holding down the ‘Backspace’ key; then

  2. Hit ‘Undo’ (Ctrl-X)

2 only restores a single character of the deleted text. You have to hit it once for every character you want restored.

I presume this isn’t the desired behaviour. I’m not sure what the algorithm is, but in Textpad, eg, if you backspace away some text, then hit ctrl-x, ALL of the deleted text reappears. I also presume I’m not the only one who finds that a lot more convenient. (All us obsessive editors . . .)

Cheers.

Hi,

Thanks, yes, this is a known bug and is on the list for addressing.

All the best,
