Updated Mac, how do I update scrivner?

Hello,

I’m an old user of Scrivner.

I updated my mac some time ago and realized my version of Scrivner isn’t compatible.
How do I get the Scrivner update for Mac Catalina without paying for a new version?

If your old version is 2.9 or earlier, the simple answer is that you don’t. Version 2.9->3.x is a paid update. You can get a discount:

If you bought from the Mac App Store, but are willing to switch to buying direct, email sales AT literatureandlatte DOT com to arrange for a discount using your Mac App Store proof of purchase.

If you bought from the Mac App Store, and wish to continue with the Mac App Store version, you will pay full price.
