Updating a Template in Scriv for Windows

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone can give me the steps of updating an existing template? I keep just opening one that I have, then saving that as a template with a new name, but that is cumbersome, and I keep thinking there must be a better way. Am I right?
Thanks so much,
Sarra Lev

You can overwrite it. (You don’t have to accumulate versions of the same template.)

The way I go about it is that I have a project (a real project) that is actually my template.
I update that one project as I go, and save it as a template, overwriting the corresponding template.
Backups of the project itself provides me with… backups/earlier versions.

Otherwise, no. Your description is pretty much how it works.

Agree with Vincent, but when you want to use it, then use file > save as and give it new proxy name. Now do what you want. Using save as splits the newly created project from its source.

Thank you both so much!
