Upgraded OS, now Scrivener won't open

Hi–I upgraded to macOS Catalina 10.15.7, and now I can’t access Scrivener. I get the error “The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.”

What do I need to do? Thanks for your help…

Right. Of course. Had to dig into Apple store purchase history to provide Scrivener with a receipt so I can get upgraded. Thanks–I wasn’t quite clear on what I was looking at, and it’s too bad that the Apple Store didn’t offer the upgrade automatically! I appreciate the quick response and the articles.

Scrivener 3 is a paid upgrade for Scrivener 2 users. That’s why the Apple Store didn’t offer it.
