Urgent - NaNoWriMo Trial Expired Early

Hello. I was introduced to Scrivener through National Novel Writing Month and thought I’d test it through the extended trial for Windows 10. Everything was going well until today. I am now unable to access any of my work because I’m receiving a message saying the trial has expired, even though it’s supposed to run through December 7. I’ve attached a screenshot of the message. The date on my computer’s calendar is correct, and I restarted and shut down the computer multiple times. I would try to uninstall and reinstall the trial, but I’m afraid that I would lose my work altogether. I have tried to back up the latest versions of my Scrivener files on both a USB stick and through Google Drive, but they are not replacing previous versions despite the fact that I’m also receiving a message saying they were successfully uploaded. Due to the time-sensitive nature of NaNoWriMo, I would appreciate any and all help. I can provide more information if needed.

Thank you.

Unless you took pains to put your work into the C:\Program Files\Scrivener folder, you can safely uninstall and re-install Scrivener. Do make note of where you put your project though, as the recent projects list may not be retained after you uninstall.

If that doesn’t work, try the standard trial version, located here: literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.php
