"Use date in backup file names" checked, but date is not in file name

In Options, I have “Use date in backup file names” checked, but I don’t see any date in the (zipped) backup file name.

The file name is simply \Backups\ProjectName-bak.zip.

Why no date?

I cannot reproduce that problem. Are you sure you are looking in the same folder as specified in “Backup location”?

Also to clarify, the settings that impact how each backup is created take effect going forward, they do not go back and retroactively change all existing backup names.

Odd. I unchecked the date option, closed Scrivener, opened again, re-checked the date option. Now it works.
