Use docks to arrange text-side UI elements

(Reposting from Beta forum)

Current behavior:
Scrivener uses two different types of widgets: integrated panels like the Binder and Inspector, and pop-ups like the Styles panel. The two are handled differently in terms of visibility, size and location.

Expected behavior:
Use docks to arrange all “text-side” UI elements such that they can be dragged, resized, popped in and out, and toggled as the user sees fit.

The current behaviour is the expected behaviour. The Inspector shows information relating to the current document in the editor. Subsidiary panels are for formatting and other things. There are no plans to change this during the 3.x iteration.

All the best,
Keith
